PURPOSE: A cooling system of an alternator for a vehicle is provided to improve output and durability by preventing damage from heat with sucking low temperature air, to cut down cost by reducing the weight with decreasing the inner coil of the alternator, and to enhance charge and discharge efficiency by increasing the output. CONSTITUTION: An alternator cooling system for a vehicle comprises a connecting pipe(21) connected to an air conditioner system(10) installed in an engine room; a PCU box(30) containing a cooling evaporator(31) connected to the connecting pipe and a PCU(32) installed at the side of the cooling evaporator; a solenoid valve(41) installed at the side of the connecting pipe and opened in increasing temperature of the PCU; an alternator(51) installed at the side of the PCU box in the engine room; and a connecting tube(52) connecting the PCU box to the alternator. An orifice expansion valve(42) is formed in the connecting pipe between the solenoid valve and the cooling evaporator to increase flow of refrigerant.
