In a power driven rotary trowelling machine the radiating arms each have a pair of parallel horizontally disposed pins 38, 42 resiliently urged together to engage notches 52 in upstanding elements 50 on trowel blades 46 to hold the blades to the arms. The resilient means are preferably tension springs 44 urging the pin 42 in the slot 40. A lever tool may be provided for releasing the trowel blades by' engaging the pin 42. A centrifugal switch may be provided on the machine handle to shortout the ignition system of the driving engine should a trowel blade dig-in. |
