Manufacture of continuous fibers of varied texture is effected in a spinning process. The ratio of fibers of finer and coarser texture is adjusted under control. Through mechanical and/or hydraulic solidification, a geotextile with defined characteristics is produced. Independent claims are included for a corresponding spinning plate with bores of different diameter (sets the size ratios), and for a geotextile manufactured as described.
