APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING PRINTED SIDE OF PAPER IN INK JET PRINTER

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for detecting a printed side of a paper are provided to prevent waste of ink and time by notifying a user of a feeding state of the paper. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting a printed side of a paper includes a detecting sensor(10), a control unit(40) and a display unit(45). The detecting sensor(10) detects the printed side of the paper or impurities attached to the paper. The detecting sensor(10) is installed at one side of a print head. The detecting sensor(10) passes through the paper, and then, an ink cartridge of the print head passes the paper in order to perform printing work with respect to the paper. The control unit(40) stores an output value of the detecting sensor(10) in a storage unit(42). The display unit(45) is installed on a control panel of the ink jet printer.
