EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE WHOSE EXHAUST BRANCH PIPE IS PIVOTABLY CONNECTED TO CATALYTIC CONVERTER THROUGH SPHERIC COUPLER

PURPOSE: An exhaust recirculation device of an internal combustion engine is provided to reduce the size, to simplify structure, and to facilitate mounting in a limited space of an engine room of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust recirculation device(100) is used for an internal combustion engine(1) having a spheric coupler to which an exhaust pipe(4) and a catalytic converter(7) are pivotably connected. The exhaust recirculation device includes an EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) gas inlet port(9) formed to the downstream part of the catalytic converter and EGR gas passage lines(10,11,12) extended to a suction system(3) of the engine from the EGR gas inlet port. At least a part of the EGR gas passage lines is formed by passages defined in the spheric coupler.
