PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling an input of a turbo decoder are provided to miniaturize the turbo decoder, minimize the manufacturing cost of the turbo decoder, and perform a high-speed data service by reducing the number of buffers. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an input of a turbo decoder includes a process for generating read addresses and chip selection signals, and it includes a process for outputting code symbols. The process for generating read addresses and chip selection signals is to generate the read addresses and the chip selection signals for three memories by using the size of encoding packets received from a turbo decoder, decoder clocks, and decoder indexes(S400). The process for outputting code symbols is to output three code symbols to two decoders by using the read addresses and the chip selection signals(S500).
