PROXY APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING GENERAL PLUG AND PLAY AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A proxy apparatus for supporting a general plug and play and its operating method are provided to control devices that does not have a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) function by an external UPnP control point through a UPnP method. CONSTITUTION: A Bluetooth device searching unit(21) searches information on Bluetooth devices that are not controlled by UPnP. An automatic technique information generator(22) generates technique information tables by using the searched information. A technique information table storing unit(23) stores the technique information tables. A UPnP message processor(24) analyzes a message such as a multicast message or an inquiry message received from a UPnP control point on a home network, searches the technique information tables stored in the technique information storing unit, and transfers a UPnP device technique table having an XML(Extensible Markup Language) format and a UPnP service technique table.
