PURPOSE: A download card having an ID code, and a system and a method for transmitting contents using the same are provided to collect content use charge without a charge settlement of a credit card event if the contents are not registered to a site operated by a communication provider, and enable a user to easily select the contents. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal(12) displays the extracted contents transmitted from a content server(18). The content server extracts/transmits the previously registered contents to the portable terminal through a communication network. A download card group(11) includes multiple download cards having the ID codes matched with the transmitted extracted contents. A certification server(16) certifies the ID code transmitted from the portable terminal. The ID codes included in the download card are different with each other. For the ID code transmitted from the portable terminal, the certification server allows the content server to transmit the extracted contents once.
