SLIDING DEVICE FOR TRUCK SEAT, FOR SECURING SAFETY OF DRIVER BY SLIDING REARWARD SEAT IN HEAD-ON COLLISION

PURPOSE: A sliding device for a truck seat is provided to protect a head of a driver who suddenly inclines forward by a collision by operating an air bag installed at a steering column and rectilinearly moving rearward the seat at the constant distance by a hydraulic cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A sliding device(30) for a truck seat(34) is composed of slide tracks mounted in parallel at a constant gap on a floor panel corresponding to a driver's seat installed with an air bag at the upper part of a steering column; a guide rail(36) mounted at a bottom side of the seat corresponding to each slide track and combined with the slide tracks to move longitudinally; a stopper disposed at the predetermined position of the guide rail and inserted into a hanging hole of the slide track; an air bag operation sensor(42) mounted at the predetermined position of a vehicle body to sense a motion of the air bag and output an electrical signal; a hydraulic cylinder(44) installed at the predetermined position on the floor panel corresponding to a front side of the seat and operated by a signal output from the air bag operation sensor; and an operating rod(46) having one end inserted into the hydraulic cylinder and the other end combined to a front lower part of the seat. The operating rod is retreated or projected longitudinally according to an operation of the hydraulic cylinder.
