PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a driving method thereof are provided to protect a circuit device from the variance of the gate high voltage(VGH). CONSTITUTION: A gate driver(33) drives gate lines on a liquid crystal panel(31). A data driver(35) drives data lines on the liquid crystal panel(31). A timing control unit(43) supplies a timing control signal with the gate driver(33) and the data driver(35) and pixel data with the data driver(35). A power unit(45) supplies power voltage with each circuit unit for driving a system entirely. A masking unit(41) performs a masking of a gate output enable signal(GOE) which is a signal among control signals supplied to the gate driver(33).
