摘要 PURPOSE: Control of an electromagnetic clutch is provided to improve engagement in the transition between the stop friction mode and the motion friction mode by superposing the random noise signals on clutch engagement signals. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic clutch system for improving engagement is composed of a microprocessor(56) receiving signals from a vehicle sensor and providing a clutch engagement signal; a random noise generator(66) applying the random noise signals; a friction clutch pack having input and output; and an electromagnetic actuator receiving clutch engagement signals and the random noise signals, and engaging the friction clutch pack. A driving assembly(68) amplifies the clutch engagement signals and the random noise signals.
