<p>PURPOSE:To provide an automatic paper feed unit removably fitted to an image forming device main body, preventing the breakage of gears due to erroneous fitting/removing actions, and capable of stably transmitting the drive. CONSTITUTION:This automatic paper feed unit 50 is provided with a loading base 52 rotatable in the direction F, and it can be set to the using position in the nearly horizontal attitude allowing paper feed and the storage position in the nearly vertical attitude prohibiting paper feed. The unit 50 is provided with the following lock mechanisms for blocking its erroneous fitting or removal during a paper feed action. A unit main body 51 is provided with a lock lever 61 rotatably in the direction G to be set to the position for coupling with the coupling hole 62 of a device main body M and the position retreated from it. The loading base 52 is provided with an arm 64 contactably with the lock lever 61, it is moved to the position (shown by solid lines) allowing the coupling when the loading base 52 is located at the using position, and it is moved to the position releasing the coupling when the loading base 52 is located at the storage position.</p> |
