PURPOSE: A satellite receiver for watching charged broadcasting is provided to watch all the charged broadcasting of common convention broadcasting stations using only one smart card. CONSTITUTION: An antenna(30) receives a broadcasting signal transmitted from a satellite(10). A receiving device(40) converts the broadcasting signal inputted through the antenna(30) into a digital signal. A smart card input device(100) inserts a smart card(60). An authentication processing device(90) authenticates the smart card(60) inserted into the smart card input device(100) according to a previously stored authentication program, coverts a signal of a broadcasting station corresponding to the smart card(60) among the digital signals inputted through the receiving device(40) into a signal capable of being watched, and outputs the converted signal. A control unit(130) controls the video and audio process of the output signal of the authentication processing device(90). A video device(140) performs the video process of the output signal of the authentication processing device(90) according to the control of the control unit(130), and outputs video data to a television. An audio device(150) performs the audio process of the output signal of the authentication processing device(90) according to the control of the control unit(130), and outputs audio data to the television.
