PURPOSE: A TV having an electronic album function and a method for operating data thereof are provided to simultaneously use an internal memory and an external memory. CONSTITUTION: A scaler(200) transmits an image signal received from an image signal input unit(100) as a signal suitable for the format of an LCD(400). An internal memory(700) stores an image selected through a key input unit(500) by a user. An external memory(800) stores the image selected by the user. A control unit(600) outputs a control signal for displaying and editing the image stored in the internal memory(700) or the external memory(800) according to a command inputted through the key input unit(500). A signal processing unit(900) processes the image signal stored in the internal memory(700) or the external memory(800) according to the control signal of the control unit(600) for displaying the image signal on a predetermined certain region. A switching unit(300) selectively outputs the image signal outputted from the scaler(200) or the signal processing unit(900) according to the control signal of the control unit(600). The LCD(400) displays the image signal outputted from the switching unit(300).
