<p>The motor vehicle ecological and ambient driving simulator enables a driver to be aware of energetic and ambient performance at the end of a journey, such as fuel consumption and emission of pollutants into the atmosphere. The emission refers to non-burnt hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide, particles and carbon dioxide. The simulator is constituted by a steering wheel, brake pedal, accelerator pedal and, optionally, a clutch pedal. All these components are linked to a display screen in the vehicle. Also shown are the road, the surrounding area, and the performance of the vehicle, such as speed gauge, rotation counter, indicator of automatic or manual gearbox selector, indicators of instantaneous fuel consumption and pollutant emission. At the end of each journey, there is a final indication on the screen of average speed, distance covered, average fuel consumption and a quantitative classification of driving.</p> |
