PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling the input of an image and the supply of a recording medium in an imaging apparatus are provided to print the image on an accurate position of the recording medium by periodically generating a timer interrupt and synchronizing requests for inputting the image and supplying the recording medium. CONSTITUTION: Synchronized requests are periodically generated for inputting an image to an exposure unit and supplying a recording medium to a transferring unit(10). The image is inputted in the exposure according to the synchronized request, and the recording medium is supplied to the transferring unit according to the synchronized request(12). The generation period of synchronized requests is synchronized with a rotation period of a developing unit or a rotation period of the transferring unit.
