PURPOSE: A bookmark method of a portable terminal is provided to locate a cursor on a menu to be registered on a bookmark menu, and to input an additional bookmark key to register the inputted bookmark key on the bookmark menu, thereby easily using a frequently used menu. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs an additional bookmark key after locating a cursor on a menu to be selected(100). A controller displays a message for asking whether to register the menu where the cursor is located on a bookmark menu(101). If the user wants to register the menu, the controller registers the selected menu on the bookmark menu(102). The controller displays a message informing the user that the selected menu is registered on the bookmark menu(103). The menu registered on the bookmark menu is displayed through a display by changing a priority.
