摘要 PURPOSE: A semiconductor device is provided to reduce current consumption of an on-chip voltage limiter circuit during an active standby state by controlling operation state of every kind of voltage generation circuit. CONSTITUTION: Voltage limiter circuits(VDL0,VDL1,VDL2,VDL3,VDLS) generate an internal power supply voltage(VDL) for a memory array from an external power supply voltage(VDD). Voltage limiter circuits(VCL4,VCL5,VCL6,VCLS) generate an internal power supply voltage(VCL) for a peripheral circuit from the external power supply voltage(VDD). Two internal voltages(VCL,VDL) lower than the external power supply voltage(VDD) are supplied to an internal circuit block. A control circuit(CTL0) controls the voltage limiter circuits(VDL0-VDL3), and a control circuit(CTL1) controls the voltage limiter circuits(VCL4-VCL6).
