The devicefor correcting constriction of a cardiac valve without having to stop or open the person's heart, includes a cylindrical tube (1) having a ring of spicules (2) at its ends that act as stops and maintain the tube in position across a faulty cardiac valve (6). The spicules are deformable to allow introduction of the device via a catheter (5). The device includes semi-circular wings in its interior, transversely fixed within the tube, with the wings opening in the direction of blood flow.
