PURPOSE: An interworking method between an MG(Media Gateway) and an MGC(Media Gateway Controller) is provided to transmit an RSIP(RM(Restart)) message to both an MG and an MGC, and to process a handoff function of the MGC by using the RSIP message, thereby smoothly supplying a call processing service as according states between the MG and the MGC. CONSTITUTION: If the first MGC has a failure while performing a call processing service between an MG and the first MGC, a system senses the failure to carry out a handoff process in the second MGC, and transmits a handoff message to the MG. The MG receiving the handoff message confirms information on the second MGC, responds to the first MGC as generating a restart message, and transmits the restart message to the second MGC. The second MGC receiving the restart message registers the MG as setting a call, and responds to the MG. |
