A combined fishing rod holding and line servicing device for holding a fishing rod in desired positions and servicing of a line. The combined device includes: (i) an elongate material (1) of predetermined length, and (ii) at least one magnet (2), fastening means (3) and flexible material (4) attached to the elongate member, wherein the at least one magnet and fastening means are adapted to allow the combined device to be affixed to a metallic surface and/or clothing or similar material to hold the fishing rod in a desired position and further wherein the flexible material is adapted to bend upon itself so as to allow for the servicing and straightening of a line.
