Hydraulically driven apparatus where the rotation of a ground contact wheel (3) automatically rotates a second device requiring drive (5) via a circuit and hydraulic motors (not shown) attached to the wheel (3) and second device (5), respectively. The apparatus can be used in many applications including in one embodiment used as a transmission system to drive a rotary broom (5) of a sweeping apparatus.
