PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a work is complicated, takes time and skill is required even though there is a method for manually adjusting applicable colors by every color by using an adjustment tool such as a profile tuner as a method for correcting a color reproduction error in a color proof system. SOLUTION: A color chart 1 is converted into color data depending on a color printer 4 by using a printing color profile 60 and a printer profile 61, the color printer 4 is made to output a calibration sample 7, colorimetric values of a target sample 7 and a proof sample 3 are inputted, difference between the colorimetric value of the target sample 7 and a colorimetric value of the proof sample 3 is calculated, the colorimetric value of the target sample 7 is corrected based on the difference and a printing color profile 58 after correction is created from the corrected colorimetric value of the target sample 7.
