PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding member against radioactive substances which can attain a miniaturization and weight reduction of a device while maintaining its shielding capability or can accommodate a high-volume radioactivity by improving the shielding capability in the same size and a device for generating radioactive chemicals which uses the shielding member. SOLUTION: In the shielding member against the radioactive substances, two or more kinds of radiation shielding materials whose shielding capabilities are different are used and a shield 51 made of a shielding material whose radiation shielding capability is highest is located in a region 5b which is closest to a radiation source.
