PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate time control for determining color tone of color development from the start of splashing a urine constituent test paper with urine, in a mobile urine analyzing apparatus. SOLUTION: A pair of conductive terminals 72a and 72b are connected with a urine detector having an ohmmeter function for measuring the electric conductivity between the terminals. A light receiving/emitting sensor 76 is disposed below a detection window 74, and receives light reflected from the test piece disposed opposite to the detection window after the light is projected to the test piece and measures the color tone of color development of the test piece on the basis of the intensity of the reflection light. When the test piece is splashed with the urine, the resistance between the terminals 72a and 72b becomes about 100 kΩdue to the presence of the urine between the terminals so that the urine is detected. A timer is started at the time of detecting the urine, and the color tone of color development of the test piece after an elapse of 30 seconds is measured and converted to obtain a urine sugar value.
