<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inkjet ink composition containing water-dispersible polyurethane and improved in the physical durability, such as scratching resistance and smudging resistance, of an image without detriment to reliable ejectability from an inkjet print head so as to always form a high-quality image. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet ink composition comprises a pigment; water or water and an optionally selected water-miscible co-solvent; and a polyurethane represented by formula (II) (wherein R<SB>1</SB>is the central moiety of a monomer unit in a polymer product of a diisocyanate; R<SB>2</SB>is the central moiety of a monomer unit in a polymer product of a diol or a polyol; R<SB>3</SB>is the central moiety of a monomer unit containing a carboxylate or sulfonate group; and X and Y may be the same or different from each other and are each an O or N atom). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
