PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply Z-folding treatment also to those paper sheets other than recording paper sheets on which image formation is completed.

SOLUTION: This post treatment device connected to an image forming device and performing the post treatment of the recording paper sheets delivered from the image forming device comprises a folding means performing the Z-folding of the delivered recording paper sheets and a sheet feed part placing thereon those sheets not passed through the image forming device and performing paper feeding. A sheet carrying route for carrying the sheets from the sheet feed part is disposed so as to be merged with a carrying route to the recording paper sheet folding means at a position on the upstream side of the folding means.
