PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus provided with a function capable of reducing a time required for transmission/reception of expired certificate information and decreasing calculation time of a hash value for determining the validity of an electronic certificate. SOLUTION: An authentication station apparatus 10 generates the expired certificate information including determination information, tree structure data, and an electronic signature, and an expired information disclosure apparatus 20 for storing the expired certificate information transmits the determination information denoted by a verification object electronic certificate, the hash value of nodes other than nodes connecting a root node and an end node among slave nodes of the nodes connecting the root node and the end node while the hash value of the determination information is made the end node in the tree structure data, the hash value of the end node, and the electronic signature to a verification station apparatus. Then, the verification station apparatus 30 verifies the validity of the verification object electronic certificate based on the determination information, the electronic signature, and each hash value.
