PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a liquid level of liquefied natural gas or the like using a microwave. SOLUTION: This level gage is provided with a float 34 for reflection floating on the liquid level of the liquid 36 stored in a liquid tank 22, and moving vertically in accompaniment to vertical motion of the liquid level, a transception unit 40 for swinging a transmission means for transmitting the microwave and a reception means for receiving the reflected microwave, and a liquid level height computing means 42 for processing, as required, a reception signal received by the reception means to compute a liquid level height. A highly reflective substance of high microwave reflectance is provided at least on an upper face of the float 34. The whole of the float 34 is formed of stainless steel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
