PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical engine which shifts the wavelength of a green light source to the long wavelength side and can increase the light quantity. SOLUTION: The optical engine 10 is provided with a red light source 11R, a green light source 11G, a blue light source 11B, a video display means 20 which put together the light rays of three primary colors emitted by the light sources and emits the resultant light rays and a projection lens 30 which projects the light emitted by the video display means 20. In the green light source 11G, emitted light of a green LED module 12G is superposed on the emitted light of a white LED module 12W by using a dichroic mirror 15a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
