PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide construction machinery to which a cooler such as an after-cooler can be added with ease without much change in the layout of various kinds of pieces of existing equipment (an engine, a radiator, etc.), and which can enhance the cooling performance of the cooler such as the after-cooler. SOLUTION: This construction machinery is equipped with a machine room 54 in which a cooling device S is to be housed, and a counterweight W which is arranged on the rear side of the machine room 54. A recess 22, through which outside air can be ventilated, is provided in a surface 11 corresponding to the machine room 54 of the counterweight W.
