DISTORTION COMPENSATION CIRCUIT, DISTORTION COMPENSATION SIGNAL GENERATING METHOD, AND POWER AMPLIFIER

A distortion compensation circuit for predistortion compensation for a power amplifier by generating a distortion compensation signal accurately at high speed to improve the accuracy of distortion compensation and to shorten the conversion time. An error signal representing the difference between the input signal and output signal of a power amplifier is generated. A coefficient concerning the cubic intermodulation distortion, a coefficient concerning the quintic intermodulation distortion, and the septic intermodulation distortion are calculated by using the error signal and input signal. A distortion compensation signal having reverse characteristics of the phase and gain of the intermodulation distortion is generated according to the coefficients.
