<p>The invention concerns a cutting wire for a plant cutting appliance such as an edge cutter, a stripper and the like, comprising a power-driven rotary cutting head adapted to retain the wire. The wire is profiled and generally uniform over its length. The invention is characterized in that the wire has a main body (10) whereof the aspect ratio, measured in the cutting direction, is more than about 1.2 and less than 2. The inventive wire exhibits good air penetration, and reduced operating noise, while maintaining good robustness.</p> |
