PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and lightweight magnetic device by setting conditions of grooves formed onto a single crystal of a magnetic oxide so as to eliminate the need for provision of a magnetic field generator for applying a magnetic field to the single crystal of the magnetic oxide. SOLUTION: The magnetic device 10 includes a magnetic element 12 wherein a single crystal film of the magnetic oxide 16 is formed on a substrate 14. A plurality of grooves are formed on the single crystal film of the magnetic oxide 16 for a period of a multiple of 2.5 of the width of magnetic domains of the single crystal film of the magnetic oxide 16, and the depth of the grooves is selected to be 1/5 or over of the width of the magnetic domains and the thickness of the single crystal film of the magnetic oxide 16 or below. A microstrip line 20 is formed onto the single crystal film of the magnetic oxide 16, and an input terminal 22 and an output terminal 24 are formed at both ends of the microstrip line 20.
