PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording/reproducing device which has simple constitution and which can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: The device comprises a base 11: provided with a spindle motor 13 and an optical pickup 15 for recording/reproducing data to an optical disk engaged with the spindle motor; a cartridge-holding means 21 having a shutter opening and closing mechanism; and a moving means for moving the holding means 21 toward and away from the base 11. At a cartridge-receiving part 41 facing the base 11 of the holding means 21, an opening 43, through which a bare optical disk engaged with the spindle motor 13 can be put. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
