PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tyre tread improved in abrasion resistance, processability, and low heat emission property. SOLUTION: This rubber composition for tyre tread is prepared by compounding a rubber reinforcing filler comprising an inorganic compound of which the surface is treated with a carbon black to a rubber component which contains not less than 10mass% at least a natural rubber, a polybutadiene rubber or a diene rubber which is modified at least one end of its molecule by at least a compound selected from the group consisting of a tin compound, an amine compound, and a silicon compound. The inorganic compound is preferably coated before the surface treatment with either one of an alkoxy silane or a polysiloxane. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
