PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a dihydronaphthalene derivative having been delayed in application because of having been difficult to produce so far. SOLUTION: The method for producing the dihydronaphthalene derivative of the general formula(1) comprises reacting a carboxylic acid halide of the general formula(3), a carboxylic acid anhydride or the like with a 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-2-one derivative of the general formula(5).
