摘要 <p>The communication throughput is improved by making an agreement, between radio communication apparatuses, for providing a variable interval in which to insert a pilot signal. A pilot signal insertion interval acquiring part (3) acquires, from a signal supplied via an antenna (9) and through a reception RF part (1) or from information supplied from an upper layer, an interval in which to insert a pilot signal (a known reference signal) and which is most suitable for a transmission path to a predetermined radio communication apparatus. Then, a pilot signal is inserted, based on the pilot signal insertion interval, into data to be transmitted, or the pilot signal insertion interval is informed, as transmission data, to another radio communication apparatus, whereby the pilot signal insertion interval can be an optimum one for the transmission path. It should be noted that an optimum pilot signal insertion interval is calculated from the time variation amount of a transmission response, whereby a more appropriate pilot signal insertion interval can be acquired.</p>
