The invention involves a method of transmitting ethernet port link state. The characteristic of the method is two data equipment transmit itself port link state signal to each other EoS equipment. The method of transmitting link state penetrate frame (LSP) produced by EoS equipment itself realizes that, the link state signal of two equipment keep synchronization logically when ethernet transmits digital data in SDH/SONET, and the equipment can start standby data transmission channel automatically when the main data transmission channel is invalidated. The method insures the communication don't halt, and enhances the reliability of MAN's ethernet transmitting data frame and network subsistence capability.
