<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basic refractory having low modulus of elasticity and a low heat transfer coefficient and which can be used at a tire part which is a coating desorbing zone in a cement rotary kiln and in particular which is mechanically stressed. <P>SOLUTION: This basic refractory can have a low modulus of elasticity and a low heat transfer coefficient by forming fine cracks in the inside of bricks caused by the difference in the thermal expansion coefficients between clinkers when the bricks are burned in combination with a plurality of different synthetic alumina / magnesia base clinkers. The basic refractory is namely obtained by combining the synthetic alumina / magnesia clinkers with a magnesia raw material and it contains two or more kinds of the synthetic alumina / magnesia clinkers having the mutually different molar ratios of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>/MgO each in a content of 5 wt% or more as particles of 0.5 mm. The basic refractory contains 5-25 wt% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and 75-95 wt% MgO. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
