PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source control circuit reduced in control error yet capable of high-speed operation, and to provide a light source unit and an optical amplifier. SOLUTION: The system for controlling a light source comprises a photodiode 11, a voltage source that applies a voltage to the photodiode 11 so that a current flows according to the power of the light incident on the photodiode 11, a current/voltage conversion circuit 2 that converts the current in the photodiode 11 into a voltage and supplies the voltage to the light source at a high speed, and an integrating circuit 3 for suppressing the offset voltage that occurs in the current/voltage conversion circuit 2. A configuration designed as such provides a system for controlling the light source which is less prone to make control errors, because the integrating circuit 3 cancels the offset voltage in the current/voltage conversion circuit 2.
