PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector which can start/stop a motor by means of a driving unit by receiving a signal with a remote-control receiver arranged at a proper point and can greatly enhance the working efficiency as there is no need for moving back and forth between several meters. SOLUTION: In a dust collector including: a motor 1 functioning as a driving source; a dust collection fan 2 rotated by the motor; a head section 11 for accommodating the fan 2; a dust collection tank section 3 located below the head section 11, for accommodating dust conveyed by the dust collection fan 2; a remote-control transmitter 9 for transmitting the signal; and a remote-control receiver 10 for receiving the signal from the remote-control transmitter 9 to control the motor by means of the drive unit, an antenna 14 is arranged on the side upper than the motor end surface within the head section 11. The dust collector permits start or stop of the dust collector occasionally at need and therefore eliminates the problem, such as noise, and can greatly improve the working environment.
