PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time to download a webpage containing an image of long download time, by reading in a substitute image of short download time first and then reading in the image of long download time later if necessary. SOLUTION: When a webpage 11 to be displayed as a screen on Web terminal equipment 10 is downloaded, substitute contents 22 of small data volume are downloaded and displayed on the webpage 11, before actual contents 23 of large data volume are downloaded.
