PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning optical device which improves at least either a dustproof function of a laser emission opening or an anti-electromagnetic radiation noise performance with an optical structure without using extra parts, and has a high image performance and high reliability. SOLUTION: An elastic member P1 has a sealing portion P20 which is disposed between a cover C1 and a housing H and seals the inside of the housing H; and a projection portion 30 which is projected from the sealing portion P20 and contacts to a supporting member S1.
