PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a process for recovering an electrodeposition paint which makes efficient use of concentrates and filtrates obtained through membrane ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis membrane filtration. SOLUTION: The electrodeposition paint in an electrodeposition tank 3 is separated into an ultrafiltrate and an ultrafiltration concentrate by a membrane ultrafiltration equipment 1 equipped with an ultrafilter membrane, and the ultrafiltration concentrate is returned to the electrodeposition tank 3. Meanwhile, the ultrafiltrate is supplied to reverse osmosis membrane filtration equipment 2 equipped with a reverse osmosis membrane and to a means 7b for washing the ultrafiltrate by the ultrafiltrate and separated into a reverse osmosis filtrate and a reverse osmosis concentrate by the reverse osmosis membrane filtration equipment 2 at a demineralization rate of 50-70%. The reverse osmosis concentrate is supplied to a means 7c for washing the reverse osmosis concentrate while the reverse osmosis filtrate is supplied to a means 7a for washing the reverse osmosis filtrate. The electrodeposition paint is recovered from the reverse osmosis concentrate and the ultrafiltrate used for washing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
