PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly run electric trolleys on the front and rear sides in running direction while avoiding the collision thereof with each other, and suppress the sliding movement of the drive wheels of the electric trolleys on the front and rear sides in the running direction. SOLUTION: This trolley apparatus comprises two electric trolleys A and B coming into contact with a rail H and having drive wheels 3A and 3B rotated by motors 2A and 2B and suspended levers 1 suspended from the electric trolleys A and B and disposed parallel with the rail H. A clutch is installed in a power transmission system between the motors 2A and 2B and the drive wheels 3A and 3B and disengaged to reduce the speed of the electric trolley A or B on the rear side in the running direction.
