PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly move a rod magnet to an operation position or a cleaning position using a structure wherein the rod magnet moves within an exterior pipe independently. SOLUTION: In this iron removing equipment with a cleaning function, a plurality of magnet structures 1, each of which is constituted by inserting a hollow rod-shaped permanent magnet 1m in the exterior pipe 1a in an axially movable manner, are arranged so as to leave an interval between the structures 1 and mutually joined by an end part fixing plate 2 and an intermediate support plate 3 to constitute magnet structure joined bodies 1-3. These joined bodies 1-3 are movably arranged through the side openings of a main body frame 4f. A first air port 1r, to which the inner pipe 1s passing through the hollow part of each permanent magnet 1m is connected, and the second air port 1u directly connected to the interior of each exterior pipe 1a are provided to one end 1c of the exterior pipe 1a. When the apparatus is cleaned, the joined bodies 1-3 are moved to the outside of the main body frame 4f and, thereafter, air A is supplied from the first air port 1r to move the permanent magnet 1m from the outer end 1b of the exterior pipe 1a to one end 1c thereof to clean an attracted magnetic material.
