METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INITIAL POSITION OF OPTICAL PICKUP

PURPOSE: A method for controlling an initial position of an optical pickup is provided to move the optical pickup to the initial position of an optical disc for servo tuning without a separated configuration such as a limit switch. CONSTITUTION: When the optical disc is inserted, the optical pickup is moved to the initial position of the optical disc(S11). While the optical pickup moves, a counting value of an output pulse depending on the load voltage and the rotational driving of a driving tool to move the optical pickup is detected(S21). The movement of the optical pickup to the initial position is judged by using a detected value(S31).
