PURPOSE: A device for collecting hydrochloric acid in exhaust gas from steelmaking process is provided, and a method thereof is provided. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a housing (13) having an inner space, a pre demister (1) which first eliminates coarse water mist and hydrochloric acid mist, a low temperature spray unit which lowers the temperature of the exhaust gas to change the vapor phase hydrochloric acid to the liquid particles and to increase the size of the liquid particles by combining with the sprayed mist, and a main demister (7) which eliminates the liquefied hydrochloric acid mist.
