<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pedestrian or the like from getting hard to be aware of the approach of a vehicle when the hybrid vehicle travels by only the drive force of a motor. <P>SOLUTION: When a navigation device 300 determines that the present position of the vehicle is on a road or in an area wherein the drive of an engine 110 is restricted, and that the present time is in a time zone wherein the drive of the engine 110 is restricted, the navigation device transmits an indication signal that generates the drive force of the vehicle to a control device 200 from a generator motor 120, and transmits to the control device an indication signal that notifies sound effects of the operation of the engine 110 to the outside. The control device 200 that receives the indication signals transmits to a sound-effect generation device 400 an indication signal that makes the sound-effect generation device generate the sound effects. Thereby, the sound effects of the operation of the engine 110 are outputted to the outside of the vehicle from a speaker 410, thus preventing the pedestrian, an occupant of a light vehicle or the like from getting hard to be aware of the approach of the hybrid vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
